Senior Manager/ Practice Director – Partnership Tax

 

Description:

  • You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope and act as the point of contact these clients. Your portfolio of clients will primarily be operating partnerships, funds, and high net worth tax individuals.
  • You will be responsible for timely final review and delivery of the pass-through entity and individual federal and state income tax compliances including quarterly estimates.
  • You will manage and review tax advisory engagements related to partnerships and individuals.
  • Assist with federal and state audits, including correspondence, compilation of data requests and audit coordination.
  • You will be responsible for developing & training the team of individuals and providing feedback on a regular basis.
  • Manage risk and performance of engagements which may include project budgets, resource planning, status and financial metrics.
  • Participate in and contribute to marketing and business development activities of the firm.

 

Qualifications: CPA (current and valid licence required)

Experience: At least 6+ years in public accounting firms

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 6+ years in public accounting firms combined with advanced academic qualifications; active CPA (current and valid license required).
  • Strong technical skill in federal and multi-state pass-through taxation.
  • Preference for experience with real estate tax technical and transaction skills, including partnership taxation, REIT taxation and qualification, partnership allocations, tax compliance, due diligence, or acquisition/disposition planning and structuring.
  • Strong experience in tax planning for business owners/ high net worth individuals.
  • Proficient knowledge of automated tax processing systems and Microsoft Office tools, including hands-on experience with advance Excel features, Thomson Reuters Gosystems and tax research applications.
  • Excellent supervisory, analytical, and leadership ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to articulate complex information.
  • Demonstrate problem solving ability along with attention to detail and coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously.
