Key Responsibilities

  • Client Management: You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope and act as the point of contact these clients. Your portfolio of clients will primarily be operating partnerships and S-Corps, small C-Corporations, and high net worth tax individuals.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure timely final review and delivery of federal and state income tax compliances, including quarterly estimates.
  • Advisory: Provide federal and state tax advisory services to corporations.
  • Audit Assistance: Assist with federal and state audits, including correspondence, data compilation, and audit coordination.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with our offshore team regularly for the execution of tax compliances and advisory services.
  • Risk and Performance Management: Manage engagement risk and performance, including project budgets, resource planning, status, and financial metrics.
  • Business Development: Participate in and contribute to the marketing and business development activities of the firm.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills 

  • 5+ years in public accounting firms combined with advanced academic qualifications; active CPA (current and valid license required).
  • Strong technical skill in federal and multi-state taxation.
  • Strong experience in tax compliances for business owners/ high net worth individuals and passthrough businesses.
  • Decent experience in tax compliances for C- Corporations.
  • Proficient knowledge of automated tax processing systems and Microsoft Office tools, including hands-on experience with advance Excel features, Thomson Reuters Gosystems and tax research applications.
  • Excellent supervisory, analytical, and leadership ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to articulate complex information.
  • Demonstrate problem solving ability along with attention to detail and coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously.
