Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Federal Tax Partner to lead and grow our U.S. corporate and business tax advisory practice. The ideal candidate will bring deep domestic corporate tax expertise, hands-on experience with ASC 740 (Income Tax Provision), and the ability to support both privately held and middle-market clients with strategic tax planning, compliance, and structuring. International tax knowledge is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead technical advisor on federal tax matters for U.S. businesses, including C corporations, consolidated groups, S corps, and partnerships
  • Oversee and review ASC 740 tax provision calculations and reporting for both public and private companies
  • Lead client relationships and develop tailored tax strategies to manage risk and optimize after-tax outcomes
  • Mentor and guide team members; foster technical development and a collaborative, client-focused culture
  • Support and collaborate on transactional tax issues, including entity restructuring, M&A, and due diligence
  • Work cross-functionally with assurance, valuation, and international tax teams
  • Engage in business development, networking, and expansion of the firm’s corporate tax footprint in the U.S.

Qualifications

  • CPA (required)
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in public accounting with strong exposure to corporate tax
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. federal income tax and ASC 740
  • Strong understanding of pass-through entities, consolidated returns, NOLs, and Subchapter C provisions
  • International tax knowledge is a plus (e.g., GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credits)
  • Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills
  • Experience working with middle-market and privately held businesses
  • Prior experience at a regional or national accounting firm is a plus
